Government ensures safe energy and food stocks ahead of Eid

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting (ratas) with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia and Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 4.

This is to ensure energy and food stocks ahead of Eid al-Fitr. In the meeting, President Prabowo asked the relevant ministers to conduct a thorough check on the availability of stocks and price stability so that the public can go through Ramadan to Eid with peace of mind.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said that the government had conducted cross-sector checks to ensure that the conditions of energy and food supply remained safe.

According to Bahlil, President Prabowo also gave instructions that all levels of government continue to monitor the development of the situation ahead of Eid. Monitoring is carried out especially related to energy supply and basic commodities.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food and Agriculture Zulkifli Hasan ensured that the condition of the national food supply was in a safe situation and prices remained under control. Regarding the impact of the global conflict on food availability, Zulhas emphasized that the national food reserves, especially rice, were in good condition.

Through this anticipatory step, President Prabowo wants to ensure that the community can carry out Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr peacefully, without worrying about energy availability and basic needs.
