11 People Including the Pekalongan Regent Arrive at the KPK Building Using the 'Muda Perkasa' Bus

JAKARTA - A total of 11 people who were arrested in a series of hand-in-hand operations (OTT) that ensnared the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq arrived at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta tonight. One of those who was brought along was the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Pekalongan Regency, H. M. Yulian Akbar.

From field observation, the KPK Office, Yulian Akbar together with a number of State Civil Servants (ASN) of the Pekalongan Regency Government were taken by the KPK using a yellow bus. There is a 'Muda Perkasa' inscription on the body of the vehicle.

"There are about 11 people who were taken to Jakarta. One of them is the Secretary of the Regional Secretary," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday night, March 3.

As for the first batch of this intensive action, the KPK first arrested Regent Fadia Arafiq along with his aides and trusted people in Semarang on Tuesday morning. They are still being intensively examined at the KPK Office until tonight.

"Where the investigation activities are related to alleged acts of corruption in the procurement of goods and services in the Pekalongan Regency Government environment," said Budi.

In this silent operation, the KPK seized electronic evidence (BBE) and four-wheeled vehicles. As for the money, Budi has not given details.

"Later we will update. Among others, BBE was also secured, vehicles were also secured," said Budi.

A total of 14 people are currently at the KPK office. Their fate will be determined through a forum on the title of the case or the exposure of the leadership together with the current prosecution and execution.

The official announcement of the suspects and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference. The plan is for this activity to be carried out on Wednesday, March 4.
