Mother of the Murder Victim in Kelapa Gading Admits Not Being Selective About Her Child

JAKARTA - The mother of the victim of the murder of MAR (22) with the suspect MAH (16) is now undergoing trauma healing to recover the psychology related to the bloody incident that killed her first son in their house in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

"His mother is still hysterical and we provide trauma recovery with hypnotherapy so that she can calm down," said Head of the Women and Children Protection (PPA) of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Ni Luh Sri Arsin, Friday, February 27, 2026.

He said that police personnel who had the ability to provide trauma healing services immediately came to the mother's house and provided services.

"It was quite stable and we also took statements regarding his son who was the perpetrator of the beating that caused his brother to die," he said.

The head of the police said that this condition was certainly difficult for the mother to face and his party, in accordance with the direction of the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Inspector General Erick Frendriz, to provide assistance.

"We will provide trauma healing services again and see the mother's mental condition," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother and the perpetrator admitted that he had never been partial to his two biological children.

But because the victim MAR was studying in three places and needed more education costs than the victim who was still in SMP with the initials MAH.

"This mother even loves the perpetrator more because she has stomach disease so she gets more attention," he said.

He also added that the communication between the two children, MAH and MAR, was blocked and did not go well.

"If his brother wants to talk to his sister through his mother and vice versa," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that a student with the initials MAR (22) was found dead with severe head injuries after being killed with a hammer or martil by his younger brother with the initials MAH (16) at a house on Jalan Puskesmas, East Kelapa Gading Village, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta.
