Brother Beats Brother's Head with a Hammer until Death, Said to be Less Attentive

JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Metro Police revealed a case of abuse committed by an underage child with the initials MAH (16) against his older brother with the initials MAR (22) in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.

From the results of the investigation by the North Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit, it turned out that the perpetrator with the initials MAH hit his older brother's head with a hammer several times until he bled heavily.

"(beaten) Many times because of emotions. The first time I was knocked down, I was still knocked out about five times," said Head of the Women and Children Protection (PPA) of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Ni Luh Sri Arsini when confirmed, Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Kompol Ni Luh said the victim's emotions exploded when the incident occurred.

"His emotions were very emotional. That's why he vented it by repeatedly hitting his brother's head," he said.

Kompol Ni Luh said, long before the incident of persecution occurred, the victim and the perpetrator had other problems in the house.

"Previously there was also a family problem, internal family, right. The child (the perpetrator) feels that his brother is more cared for, what he wants to be followed," he said.
