The incident occurred on Wednesday (25/2) afternoon at around 12.00 WIT, when the victim and her child were washing crabs and clams on the banks of the Agimuga River. Suddenly the victim was bitten by a crocodile and dragged into the water.

The victim's child who saw the incident immediately shouted for help and reported the incident to the community.

"The family and local community have tried to search, but so far the victim has not been found," said Charles.

After receiving the report, his party immediately dispatched a Joint SAR Team consisting of rescuers from the Timika SAR Team, Polairud, and local residents using the Basarnas' rigid buoyancy boat (RBB) 600 PK and a 30 PK rubber boat to the location of the incident to conduct a search.
