In order for the Attack on the Headquarters not to be repeated, the Jakut Police Chief asked the residents to guard the area.

JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Metro Police held a standby appeal which was attended by all members of the ranks at the North Jakarta Metro Police Yard.

The North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Erick Frendiz, stated that there was information about movements that tried to repeat the incident in August 2025 which handed over public facilities and police stations.

"I ask everyone here to be on alert, of course, to keep an eye and an ear for tonight and the next few days, so that yesterday's incident does not happen again," said Kombes Erick, Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

The Police Chief appealed to his officers that the incident at the North Jakarta Police Headquarters in August 2025 did not repeat itself.

"The incident last August, they threw them into the police station. Then there were provocateurs," he said.

The Police Chief hopes that residents living around the North Jakarta Metro Police will not participate in the act of riot and provocation.

"So these people are trying to make a fuss. They then ran to the back. Once there was an arrest, they had fled first, well that's not what we want, these are forms of provocation or provocateurs that we certainly don't want together," he said.

The Police Chief asked the public to play an active role in guarding the area from anarchist actions. The public is also asked to be on alert for the next few days.

"So I think we are all here agree that our region must be safe and must be calm," he said.
