JAKARTA - The B Commission of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has confirmed that it will immediately summon the board of directors of PT Transportasi Jakarta or Transjakarta following the accident involving two bus fleets in Corridor 13 on Monday, February 23 morning.
The Chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Nova Harivan Paloh, said that the summons was carried out as a form of supervision and a thorough evaluation of the collision incident which caused dozens of passengers to be injured.
"There are 23 injured victims. We will definitely call the director to deepen," Nova told reporters, Wednesday, February 25.
He emphasized that Commission B would not immediately accept the initial allegations of the cause of the accident, which was said to be due to the driver being sleepy. The DPRD wants to ensure that all technical aspects and supervision systems run as they should.
According to Nova, his party will ask for the opening of CCTV footage and dissect the operational control system owned by Transjakarta.
"We want to dissect the command center used in Transjakarta," he said.
Including in it, he said, discussion about the command center and early warning system which had previously been presented to Commission B. The DPRD wants to know whether the system is functioning optimally when incidents occur.
Nova said that the bullfighting event in Corridor 13 should be a momentum for comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (monev). Because passenger safety is the main aspect of public transportation services.
