Pramono Advances the Target for the Completion of Rasuna Said Arrangement in June 2026, 109 Monorail Poles Have Been Installed

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, has advanced the target for the completion of the arrangement of Jalan HR Rasuna Said after the demolition of the broken monorail pole. From the previous target of being completed in September 2026, it has now been accelerated to June.

The acceleration was carried out after all the old monorail project poles that stood along Jalan Rasunas Said were cut and cleaned.

"The monorail, which is 109, is now on Saturday, all of them have been cut and cleaned up. We will start construction starting for pedestrians, sewers, parks, and so on," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 24.

A total of 109 monorail poles that have been abandoned for years on the main office route have now been cleaned. The next phase is the arrangement of sidewalks, drainage, to green open spaces along the road.

"Hopefully, June 22, it will be 499 years since Jakarta has completed everything. I have given a target, for the Rasuna Said monorail, we will immediately complete it until the face of Rasuna Said is different," he said.

Along with the arrangement of pedestrians, Pramono also asked the Satpol PP to enforce the ban on street vendors (PKL) and online motorcycle taxis (ojol) who often use the sidewalk and road as a place to hide or sell.

Jalan Rasuna Said is one of the priority arrangements because it is the main corridor for business activities in Jakarta.

"Several main roads, for example, which we will now manage, one of which is in Rasuna Said. Then I ask all the ranks to carry out this order," said Pramono.

Previously, Pramono asked his staff to accelerate the completion of the demolition of the broken monorail pole that stretches along Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

Pramono said that acceleration was needed so that the road space and the surrounding area could be immediately rearranged. He assessed that the previous work rhythm was still too slow compared to the need for city planning.

"After seeing the work in the field, I asked for it to be accelerated. If it used to be only one pole a day, I asked not to, if necessary four or five poles a day. And now it has been done," said Pramono at Aryaduta Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday, February 6.

Pramono explained that currently most of the monorail poles that stand without concrete structures have almost all been cut. The remaining work is the demolition of the part that has merged with concrete, which takes longer.

"For the cutting, it just so happened that I passed by yesterday. What is being done now is that there is concrete so that this concrete will definitely take longer, but the poles are almost all cut," he said.

The DKI Provincial Government has allocated a total of Rp. 102 billion for the overall arrangement of the area. The arrangement includes repairing roads, water channels, sidewalks, parks, public street lighting, and other supporting facilities along Jalan Rasuna Said. The actual cost for cutting the monorail pole is only IDR 254 million.
