Jaktim Mayor Cancels Bandung's PTUN Decision on Padel Field in Pulomas Not Legal

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin ensures that the City Government will appeal the decision of the State Administrative Court (PTUN) regarding the Building Approval (PBG) permit for the Star Padel in Pulomas.

This was stated by Munjirin after a limited meeting held by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung.

"So it was studied and ratas then had directions. Finally, we decided that the appeal would be a letter of revocation," said Munjirin to reporters, Tuesday, February 24.

The PTUN's previous ruling won a lawsuit by residents against the issuance of a building permit (PBG) for the padel court. In the case, the defendant was the Mayor, while the business owner was also a defendant.

He explained that previously the City Government had appealed because it considered the position of the Mayor was not appropriate as the party with the authority to revoke the PBG. However, after a discussion in a limited meeting, it was decided that the appeal would be revoked.

"Yesterday we held an appeal because the Mayor was on the wrong side to revoke the PBG," he said.

Munjirin emphasized that after the appeal was revoked, the obligation to revoke the PBG was indeed contained in the decision. However, administratively, the Mayor does not have direct authority to revoke.

"Well, if the revocation of the appeal letter has been revoked, the Mayor must revoke the PBG. The Mayor has no authority to revoke it," said Munjirin.

Therefore, the next process will be discussed by the regional device organization (OPD) which is authorized to issue and revoke the PBG, namely the Investment and One-Stop Service Agency

"Therefore, it will be discussed by the OPD that has the authority to revoke the PBG. So it has been tightened, later there will be an OPD itself that will discuss the revocation of the PBG," explained Munjirin.

Answering questions about the padel field operations that are still running while waiting for follow-up, Munjirin said his party would facilitate a deliberation between residents and managers.

He emphasized, before there was an official decision regarding the revocation of the PBG, the dialogue between residents and owners would be prioritized. "So before officially coming out with the decision, we will discuss between residents and the owners of the padel," he continued.
