Places of Worship and Schools in Tapanuli and Aceh are Clean, Ready to Use

ACEH - Residents and TNI personnel were seen working together in a number of areas affected by the Sumatra disaster, such as Tapanuli, North Sumatra, and Aceh. A number of places of worship and schools were seen being cleaned of the remaining mud.

As seen in Batangtoru District, South Tapanuli Regency, the cleaning activities were carried out at a number of mosques. On-site monitoring, TNI members appeared to clean the carpet, tidy the pulpit, and sweep and mop the floor of the Nurul Islam Mosque Terrace in Aek Ngadol Village.

Similar activities were also carried out at the Shobu'ul Mosque in Hutagodang Village, where TNI personnel mopped the floor and wiped the window glass to make it clear again. Meanwhile, at the Babussalam Mosque in Aek Ngadol Village, the cleaning was focused on the front porch and courtyard.

As for the Jami' Mosque in Bonalumban Village, the activities are not only limited to cleaning, but also the physical rejuvenation of the building. The TNI scraped the old paint on the walls and fences, sanded the surface, then repainted it to look fresher. In Aceh, cleaning was also carried out in the Meunasah Raya of Kota Meureudu Village.

In addition to the mosque, the TNI together with the residents also cleaned a number of churches such as in Hutagodang Village, Batangtoru District, Central Tapanuli, such as the Hutagodang Village Catholic Church, and the Hutagodang Village GKPA Church.

Not only places of worship, schools are also a priority. In Tukka District, Central Tapanuli Regency, a re-cleaning was carried out at SDN 152981 1A Tukka and SDN 152982 1B Tukka due to subsequent flooding. Cleaning was also carried out at Fransiskus Aek Tolang High School.

The cleaning of school buildings was carried out thoroughly. Meanwhile, in Central Aceh, specifically at SMPN 26 Takengon, similar activities have entered the painting stage with a progress of 45 percent.
