JAKARTA - FIM (24) a man from Pemalang, Central Java, did not flinch when he was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pademangan Police.

The unemployed youth was arrested after being reported for stealing at his lover's parents' house, on Jalan Hidup Baru, RT 12/04, West Pademangan Village, Pademangan District, North Jakarta.

For his daring act, the perpetrator managed to grab Rp100 million in cash and gold jewelry in the safe of the catering entrepreneur's house. The total loss amounted to Rp400 million.

The head of the Pademangan Police, Kompol Immanuel Sinaga, said the arrest began when his party received a report from the victim with the initials CA.

"Based on the report, the Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation by conducting a crime scene. Then a number of evidence and CCTV footage were secured to identify the perpetrator," said Kompol Immanuel Sinaga to reporters, Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

From the results of the identification, the perpetrator of the theft was finally recognized and the perpetrator was immediately arrested.

"The perpetrator was arrested in his boarding house with evidence of gold jewelry and Rp60,950,000 in cash along with a black wallet stored in the counter. and Rp20 million in cash wrapped in a place to put a helem in an Infinix mobile phone box," he said.

The evidence seized was a number of gold jewelry and cash of more than Rp80 million.

The theft action began when the suspect FIM left his boarding house to the victim's house. After arriving at the crime scene (TKP), the perpetrator entered using the victim's key which fell and was found by the perpetrator.

"The suspect was able to lock 1 month ago which he found in front of the victim's house 1 month ago. So there is already an intention for the perpetrator to control the victim's property," he said.

Furthermore, the suspect took a safe containing money worth Rp. 100 million and a number of gold.

"The safe was then put into a black suitcase and taken to the perpetrator's room. The perpetrator then opened it using a screwdriver," he said.

The perpetrator had already used Rp20 million, while more than Rp80 million and a number of gold jewelry were put into plastic and put in the corner of his room.

After conducting surveillance, the suspect was then arrested by the Pademangan Police Opsnal Team along with the evidence. The suspect was then taken to the Pademangan Police for further processing.

"The disclosure of this case has not been up to 1x24 hours, the perpetrator has been arrested. The suspect is the closest person to the victim, they trust each other. The perpetrator has planned the theft," he said.

Meanwhile, the process of arresting the suspect was directly led by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Muhaiyin Ikhsan.

"So based on the initial report, we check the crime scene and collect evidence and CCTV and others. We investigate who is on the CCTV. Based on CCTV and evidence, we can track and find out the whereabouts of the perpetrator so that he can be arrested," said AKP Ikhsan.

From the results of the police's examination of the suspect, the motive for the theft began when the suspect found the key to the house belonging to his girlfriend's parents 1 month ago. Then the suspect stole the house when the condition was quiet.

"There is no grudge between the perpetrator and the victim, the owner of the house. The perpetrator admitted that he was only wrong. The urine test was negative. The perpetrator admitted that he found the key in front of the victim's house," he said.

The total evidence seized was 8 gold sheets, cash of more than Rp. 80 million, 6 gold bracelets weighing 15 grams, 6 yellow gold keroncong bracelets weighing 14 grams, 3 gold keroncong bracelets weighing 11 grams, 11 gold keroncong bracelets weighing 28 grams, 1 yellow gold necklace weighing 8 grams, 1 gold ring with a motif of three weighing 6 grams, 1 diamond ring weighing 5 grams and 1 chain bracelet weighing 22 grams.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 477 Paragraph (1) letter e. KUHPidana with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
