Case of Land Dispute in Parking Lot Ends in Stabbing in Blok M Peacefully

JAKARTA - The stabbing case triggered by a parking lot issue in the Blok M area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, ended peacefully. The settlement of the case was carried out through the restorative justice (RJ) mechanism.

Head of Public Relations of South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Murodhi, said that the victim is currently starting to improve. Meanwhile, the reported party or the suspect has visited the victim to convey good intentions.

"The victim has started to improve. Then from the reported party or the suspect has come to the victim. Because they know each other, both parties are trying to resolve this matter through restorative justice," said Murodhi, Friday, February 6, 2026.

According to Murodhi, the police responded to the peaceful attempt by facilitating the RJ process in accordance with applicable regulations.

"RJ has been processed and there has been a peaceful agreement between the two parties," he explained.

Murodhi emphasized that with the agreement, the stabbing case in Blok M was planned to be stopped.

"If there is an RJ agreement, the plan is that we will resolve the case," he concluded.

It is known that two groups were involved in a brawl that led to a stabbing in the Blok M area, South Jakarta on Thursday night, February 5, 2026.

The Acting Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Satrii, said that one person was injured as a result of the incident.

"The victim suffered injuries to the abdomen," he said.

Satrio said the commotion was initially triggered by a dispute over parking space between two groups. At that time, the two groups had a verbal argument. So, one of the groups took out a sharp weapon of a machete and attacked the victim.

"One of the perpetrators took out a machete and attacked the victim and hit the victim's stomach on the left side, the victim contacted the victim's friend to ask for help," he said.
