JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) closed 2025 with a significant spike in the number of customers. Throughout last year, Transjakarta recorded 413 million customers or doubled in the last three years.

Currently, the average daily trip reaches 1.4 million, underlining the role of Transjakarta as the main mode of mobility for residents of Jabodetabek.

Transjakarta's operational performance also shows a trend of efficiency. The subsidy per customer was recorded to remain compared to the previous year and decreased by around 14 percent compared to 2022.

Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza said that this achievement could not be separated from the support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as the majority shareholder, as well as the comprehensive transformation carried out by the company.

"We are not only pursuing quantity expansion, but also quality. Through digitization and strengthening governance, we prove that massive public services can still be managed efficiently and responsibly," said Welfizon in his statement, Friday, February 6.

In terms of safety, Transjakarta has recorded continuous improvements. In the last three years, the accident rate has dropped by 40 percent. In 2025, the safety indicator reached its lowest point with a score of 0.33.

Efforts to modernize are also being carried out through the strengthening of digital services and the development of environmentally friendly fleets. The TJ: Transjakarta application is now used by around 2.1 million users, with real-time bus tracking features and a digital ticket system.

Meanwhile, by the end of 2025, Transjakarta has operated 470 units of electric buses, both high deck and low deck types. This step is in line with the target of reducing emissions and making Transjakarta one of the pioneers of electric-based public transportation in Indonesia.

In the field of infrastructure services, Transjakarta also noted the acceleration of post-incident recovery. The stop affected by the fire in September was back in operation in just one week since repairs began.

"Although the damage to the post-fire infrastructure is quite severe, recovery can be carried out quickly through intensive collaboration between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, all levels of SKPD, and the support of various communities," said Welfizon.

In addition to relying on subsidies, Transjakarta strengthens business independence through non-subsidy or non-fare box revenues. The naming rights program, open top tour bus service, to the development of TJ Radio and TJ Store are alternative sources of income.

In 2025, Transjakarta's non-subsidy revenue reached IDR 281 billion, an increase of four times compared to the previous three years. This performance also led Transjakarta to achieve a Good Corporate Governance (GCG) score of 90.64 with the excellent predicate, and 40 awards throughout 2025, including international recognition from Bloomberg Philanthropies.

"This achievement is a manifestation of our vision, namely 'Connecting Life, Accompanying the Journey'. Transjakarta will continue to innovate to become a mode of transportation that is not only relied on, but also is proud of by all citizens," concluded Welfizon.
