JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is currently drafting the Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Industrial Development Plan (RPIP) for 2026-2046.
This document is prepared as a long-term foothold for the development of the Jakarta industry over the next 20 years, in line with changing economic structures and increasingly dynamic global challenges.
Head of the Office of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) of the DKI Jakarta Province, Ratu Elisabeth Rante Allo, said that the RPIP 2026-2046 is a direct elaboration of the vision of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung regarding the direction of Jakarta's industrialization after the relocation of the Capital City.
"Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that Jakarta must have a clear and long-term industrialization direction. This RPIP is the official roadmap for the development of Jakarta's industry for the next 20 years," said Ratu in his statement, Thursday, February 5.
The queen explained that the direction of Jakarta's industrial policy in the future will be focused on flagship sectors that do not depend on the need for large land and high energy consumption. Jakarta, he said, will develop environmentally friendly, low-emission industries and have export competitiveness.
Several priority sectors include high technology industries, green industries, halal industries, creative and digital economy, and strengthening the role of industrial services as the main support for urban economic activities.
"The development of Jakarta's industry in the future is focused on strengthening high-tech industries, green industries, halal industries, creative and digital economies. These industries are selected with criteria for land savings, energy savings, low pollution, and have export competitiveness," said the Queen.
He emphasized that the RPIP 2026-2046 was designed to change Jakarta's position from merely a consumption center to an innovation-based production center and high-value-added industrial services.
"The Governor's instructions are clear, Jakarta will become a center for advanced industries, innovation centers, and global competitive industrial service hubs," he said.
In addition to large and medium-scale industries, the DKI Provincial Government also places Small and Medium Enterprises (IKM) as an important pillar in the future industrial structure of Jakarta. The strengthening of IKM is explicitly included as a strategic agenda in the RPIP 2026-2046.
According to the Queen, IKM is no longer positioned as a supporting sector, but as a main driver of Jakarta's economic transformation that is more inclusive and sustainable.
"In accordance with the Governor's instructions, RPIP ensures that IKM is an integral part of the industrial ecosystem. IKM is not only trained, but also promoted to a higher class. RPIP positions IKM not only as supporting economic actors, but as the main driver of the transformation of the Jakarta economy towards an inclusive, value-added, and competitive structure," he added.
