Vice President Gibran Supports Pandji Pragiwaksono to Work and Express Input for the Nation

JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed his support for Indonesian young people, including comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono, to continue to work and provide useful input for the development of the nation.

"I support young Indonesians, including Brother Pandji Pragiwaksono, to continue to work and voice useful input for national development," said Gibran in a written statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 4.

Gibran emphasized that Indonesia as a democratic country provides space for every citizen to express their opinions and opinions.

According to him, this freedom needs to be carried out while still respecting local norms and values, cultures, and religions that live in society.

"In accordance with respect for local norms and values, culture, and religion," said Vice President Gibran.

Previously, the Polda Metro Jaya scheduled to call comedian or stand-up comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono on Friday (6/2) regarding a number of reports addressed to him.

"Brother PP is asked to attend a clarification on Friday (6/2) at 10.00 WIB," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/2).

The call, he continued, was a follow-up to the five existing police reports and hoped that the person concerned could attend and clarify so that everything could be answered.

Polda Metro Jaya has examined 10 witnesses in the defamation case allegedly committed by comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono.
