Khofifah considers Prabowo's meeting with Islamic organizations to strengthen harmony

JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa assessed that the meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and the leaders of Islamic community organizations (ormas) at the State Palace in Jakarta, strengthened the nation's harmony through cross-organizational dialogue and national religious figures.

"This meeting is very positive in my opinion. How Mr. President Prabowo has prepared time to carry out silaturahmi and dialogue with cross-organizations, pesantren figures and Islamic figures in Indonesia," said Khofifah, who is also the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Central Leadership of the Women's Islamic Association (PP Muslimat NU) reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 4.

He is optimistic that the forum is a good opportunity to strengthen the building of harmony across community organizations to realize a peaceful Indonesia.

He said the presence of Islamic religious community organizations contributed greatly to realizing the harmonization of community life, nation, and state.

The higher the intensity of the relationship, he said, the better it will be for national unity.

"This brotherhood can be done anytime and anywhere. Especially like now with President Prabowo," he said.

Khofifah said that the leaders of cross-organizational Islamic community organizations have played a role in various national strategic programs, including the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

Contributions are also seen through the role of guardians and boarding school guardians for People's Schools (SR) in various regions, especially in East Java, as well as synergy in strengthening national food security.

He is optimistic that the meeting will produce a joint plan of action formula that will have a real impact on the nation, state, and society.

"This meeting will insyaallah be a productive meeting between the leaders of cross-Islamic community organizations with President Prabowo at the State Palace in Jakarta," he said.

The meeting was attended, among others, by the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Empowerment of Women and Child Protection (PPPA), the Minister of Social Affairs, the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the General Manager of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah, and the heads of pesantren from various regions.
