JAKARTA - A number of residents of the Marinatama Mangga Dua (MMD) Apartment, Pademangan, North Jakarta, again protested against the management for their arbitrary actions against Marinatama residents on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

A number of residents together with their lawyers stormed the MMD Pademangan management office to express their disappointment with the management's attitude.

Residents are disappointed because the Inkopal management asked for the forcible surrender of the shop house keys even though the case process is still rolling at the Jakarta PTUN.

"Mr. submitted it to the PTUN. We are a legal state, we don't want to violate it, we understand. This is the state apparatus and the state guard, that's why we hope that the law must be enforced, don't let the court not pay attention. The president himself does not interfere with the judiciary, what the judge says must be followed," said representative of the MMD residents, Wisnu Hadi Kusuma to reporters at the location.

Feeling intimidated by the forced eviction efforts, residents assessed the Marinatama shop area as if there were a country within a country.

"Don't let there be a country within a country," he complained.

The protest action was carried out at the office of the MMD Pademangan shop house manager by a number of residents and was attended by representatives from the management. Residents objected to the attitude of the manager.

Meanwhile, the lawyer for the MMD Pademangan residents, Subali, emphasized that his party and the residents were opposed to the efforts being made against the residents.

"We officially object to the imposition of the handover, in this case the key. I officially delivered a letter about the objection to the emptying or forced letter," Subali said at the location.

Subali said that the MMD shop building was not a state-owned building (BMN).

"Regarding the BMN problem in MMD, its utilization will be managed again, because according to the document in the DJKN which is the property of the state, it is still in the form of a land expanse," he said.

"Because the lease cannot become state property because there has never been a handover. Is the handover not yet ratified, has the developer not handed over to the state or something else, but the problem here is that the residents are forced to hand over the shop. This is what I will straighten out, because we represent the residents, we have asked the Minister of Finance to repeat the management," added Subali.

Subali said residents would ask to use this shop but in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

"The point is that the DJKN has summoned the Ministry of Defense and the Navy to ask for information in order to rearrange. Because the reason for the residents here, it does not comply with the rules. So from here, from the beginning, mediation with Inkopal but Inkopal until today has not been able to accept. So the development now regarding the BMN problem, the facts here are still in the process of being resolved by the DJKN. This week the DJKN has summoned the Ministry of Defense and the TNI AL," he said.
