End of Prabowo's Visit to Europe, Bring Rp90 Trillion, 600 Thousand Jobs Waiting

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Indonesia on Saturday, January 24 afternoon, after completing a working visit to three strategic partner countries, namely the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and France.

The five-day visit resulted in a number of concrete achievements, ranging from investments to opening up employment opportunities for the Indonesian people.

"Closing a five-day trip abroad, the president brought home some concrete results," said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in an official statement uploaded to the Cabinet Secretariat's Instagram account, quoted on Sunday, January.

Teddy explained, the first achievement was the investment commitment from the UK in the maritime sector worth 4 billion pounds sterling or equivalent to around Rp. 90 trillion. This investment was followed by plans to build 1,582 fishing boats that will be produced domestically.

"The construction of the ship is estimated to be able to absorb up to 600,000 workers," he said.

In addition, Indonesia and the UK also agreed to cooperate in the field of education by involving 24 of the best universities in Great Britain, especially in the fields of medicine and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

The next achievement was Indonesia's joining the board of peace (BOP) or the Gaza Peace Council as part of concrete steps to support peace efforts in Gaza, which is said to have shown significant progress in the conflict recovery process.

During the visit, Prabowo also conveyed the concept of "Prabowonomics" economics at the World Economic Forum forum attended by around 65 heads of state and 1,000 CEOs of major world companies.

"Sixth, there is an increase in real cooperation with the French Government in various strategic sectors," said Teddy.

Teddy added that Prabowo arrived in the country using the national airline Garuda Indonesia and landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta.

The President's arrival was greeted by the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of BIN General TNI (Ret.) Muhammad Herindra, and Presidential Chief of Staff Rizky Irmansyah.
