JAKARTA - President Director of PT Indonesia Air Transport (IAT) Adi Tri Wibowo ensures that all victims of the ATR type 42-500 aircraft with the registration number PK-THT received insurance rights after the unfortunate aircraft crashed in the Bulusaraung mountain area, South Sulawesi.

"Later we will finish it, the insurance will finish it. There, the point (life insurance)," he told reporters after the closing press conference for the SAR operation at the Makassar Class A Basarnas office, Hasanuddin Airport Area in Maros, South Sulawesi, Friday, 23 January, reported by ANTARA.

Regarding the amount received by the 10 victims, Adi did not want to mention how much the victims' families received.

"We can't report it, and we will still (provide), they have the right to insurance," he said, stammering when asked about the amount given to the victim's family.

However, the company certainly evaluates the incident strictly. Although evaluations are often carried out periodically for both management and aircraft technology.

"We always conduct internal investigations and for the next program we will always pay attention to health safety," he said.

Responding to allegations that the plane had suffered damage before flying from Yogyakarta to Makassar City, Adi denied the news, the plane had been declared fit to fly.

"Oh no (damaged), we clarified that the incident was on Thursday (15/1). And actually we were able to overcome it until Friday (16/1). We can fly the plane well to Semarang, then to Yogyakarta, to Makassar," he explained.

He said that this plane is a charter plane that was contracted by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) and has long been carrying out surveillance, monitoring or surveillance and research missions in various areas of Indonesia.

"We are in the KKP charter and everything is in accordance with the contract. This plane was made in 2000. For us, it is only one ATR. (contract) a few years and in the legal umbrella. We have been several times (in the KKP contract)," he said.

With the closure of the SAR operation to search for the victim, his party expressed appreciation and gratitude to Basarnas, TNI, Polri and all elements that helped evacuate the ATR 42-500 aircraft victims.

"Alhamdulillah, 10 victims have been found, and we hope that the results of the DVI will match and can be handed over to the family. And there are three that we have sent to the family, to Jakarta," said Adi.

In addition to the three victims who have been taken by their families, the company has conveyed to other families according to their respective addresses by helping and escorting them until the identification process is completed.

"We help everyone, until they get home. And we mourn and pray for all the victims, that their sins are forgiven and that they receive mercy and husnul khatimah, as martyrs, because they work for the family," he said.
