He estimated that the condition would be worse if heavy rain lasted longer. "If the rain does not subside, it is likely to be higher. This is a low-lying area that is flooded, if it is not higher," he said.
Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that the flooding that hit several areas today disrupted the activities of residents, especially in densely populated residential areas.
"The puddles and flooding that lasted until noon made the mobility of residents limited," said Head of the Task Force Coordinator for the East Jakarta BPBD Region Ali Kojim when contacted by ANTARA in East Jakarta, Thursday.
