Wearing Raincoats, a Gang of Armed Robbers Sneaks into a Resident's House in Pademangan

JAKARTA - A gang of armed robbers attacked one of the residents' houses on Jalan Pademangan 4 Gang 31, RT 10/01, Pademangan Timur Village, Pademangan District, North Jakarta on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, afternoon.

The perpetrators who entered the house had threatened the victim with a knife. Then the perpetrator managed to take a number of valuables that were inside the house.

According to the local RT chairman, Etty said he only knew about the incident after a resident came to his house to report the robbery incident.

"I only knew after a resident in front of the victim's house reported to me. Then I contacted the police," Etty told reporters, Wednesday afternoon.

After contacting the police, he went to the scene to check and find out. According to Etty, at that time the atmosphere was quiet plus the rain that poured since morning until noon.

"So at the time of the incident, there was only a female husband and a small child in the house. They were both on the second floor. The others were outside the house," he said.

According to the residents of the house, they saw 3 people wearing raincoats.

The perpetrator entered the house by jumping over the front fence of the house and breaking the padlock fence.

"The perpetrator then went upstairs after damaging the CCTV. The woman was threatened with a knife by one of the perpetrators until she was scared. Fortunately, no one was injured," he said.

After successfully taking valuables from inside the house, continued Etty, the perpetrators fled. The action was not known to residents because the victim's home environment was quiet.

"The perpetrator fled, no residents knew, because no one shouted thief. What was reported missing was only the phone and laptop. The other items are not yet known. Later we will see through the CCTV first," he said.

Responding to the incident, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pademangan Police, AKP Muhaiyin Ikhsan confirmed the incident.

"Yes, he said someone had stolen from the house," said AKP Ikhsan when confirmed.

Meanwhile, for the house owner, no one has made an official report at the Pademangan Police.

"No one has made a report yet. However, we will follow up by visiting the location and examining witnesses," he said.
