Acting Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Social Service Achmad Tarmizi, through the Head of the Social Protection Section for Victims of Natural Disasters (PSKBA) Roman Syahputra, said the assistance was a manifestation of the concern and solidarity of the people of South Sumatra to the people of Aceh Tamiang.
"This assistance comes from the people of South Sumatra as a form of empathy for our brothers and sisters who are affected by disasters," said Roman.
He explained that the assistance provided included wearable clothes, basic necessities, sanitation equipment, and other clothing needs. The assistance is expected to help meet the basic needs of disaster victims.
Roman added that the South Sumatra Provincial Government appreciated the participation of the community which had contributed to the humanitarian assistance campaign.
"On behalf of the people and the Government of South Sumatra Province, we thank all parties who have donated. This assistance has been received directly by the Deputy Regent of Aceh Tamiang, Ismail," he said.
