JAKARTA - Heavy rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings since early morning has caused a number of areas to be flooded. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that as of Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11.00 WIB, there were 22 RT and 33 roads that were still flooded.
Based on BPBD data, the most affected area is in South Jakarta with a total of 19 RT spread across six villages. Among them are Cilandak Barat Village (1 RT), Pondok Labu (2 RT), Cipete Utara (3 RT), Pela Mampang (9 RT), Duren Tiga (1 RT), and Cilandak Timur (3 RT). Water levels vary between 40 and 95 centimeters, with the main cause being high rainfall and the overflow of the Krukut River.
Meanwhile, in North Jakarta, it was recorded that there were 3 RT that were still flooded in Tanjung Priok Village. The water level ranged from 20 to 40 centimeters due to heavy rain.
In addition to residential areas, BPBD also reported that 33 roads in several areas of Jakarta were still submerged with water levels ranging from 10 to 55 centimeters. Street flooding spread in the North Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta areas, including in the Pegangsaan Dua, Koja, Kebon Bawang, Sunter Jaya, West Kelapa Gading, Jagakarsa, to Lubang Buaya and Rambutan areas.
BPBD DKI Jakarta stated that all the current flood locations are still under treatment. Efforts include deploying personnel to monitor field conditions as well as coordination with the Water Resources Office (SDA), the Road Construction Office, and the Fire and Rescue Office (Gulkarmat) to drain water and ensure that the drainage channels function optimally.
"Officers in the field continue to handle together with the local lurah and camat, as well as preparing basic needs for affected residents. The puddles are targeted to recede in a short time," wrote BPBD in its statement.
BPBD DKI Jakarta appeals to the public to remain vigilant against the potential for flooding and to be careful when carrying out activities, especially in flood-prone areas. In an emergency, residents are asked to immediately contact the emergency service number 112 which operates 24 hours.
