After the incident, the four Brimob personnel suspected of being involved were secured at the Bombana Police. Furthermore, they were picked up and taken to the Sultra Police to undergo further examination.
"As a result of the incident, one resident was shot in the left leg and has received medical treatment at Tanduale Hospital, Bombana Regency," he said.
Abd. Hakim revealed that based on initial information, the incident began when a number of people suspected of being Brimob personnel came to the mine site and gave a warning that mining activities should be stopped.
The situation then heated up after a verbal altercation between residents and the personnel until finally a gunshot was heard.
