Prabowo Proud of His Ministers Working with Initiative and Courage

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto has emphasized the importance of leadership that is brave enough to take initiatives and understand the big direction of national policies in running the wheels of government.

This was conveyed by the President to the Red and White Cabinet and the heads of state institutions during the Second Volume Retreat held in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Tuesday, January 6.

"Brothers have worked with full initiative, with full understanding, courage," said the President in his briefing, reported by ANTARA.

President Prabowo expressed deep appreciation to the ministers, heads of agencies, and leaders of high-level institutions for the hard work and dedication they have shown over the past year.

He stated that the government's achievements could not be realized without the collaboration and commitment of all levels.

"I want to use the first opportunity at the beginning of my briefing to convey my deepest thanks from my heart, my thanks as president, as a leader, as the recipient of the mandate from the people of Indonesia," said the President.

The President assessed that officials had shown courage in making decisions and initiatives in the field.

According to him, this attitude is the main characteristic of a true leader, because the easiest and safest choice is actually not to do anything or just wait for the boss's orders.

"Taking the initiative requires courage. The safest, easiest thing is to do nothing or wait for instructions," he said.

He emphasized that leadership in modern government requires a thorough understanding of major strategies and national goals.

By understanding the overall direction of policy, officials are expected to be able to act quickly and appropriately without having to wait for detailed instructions for each decision.

"Leaders are actually those who understand the big strategy, understand the goals, understand the leader's directives so that what is understood is the big direction, is the general direction, not every decision has to wait for the superior's instructions," said the President.

According to the President, the achievements that have been achieved so far are a matter of pride and an important capital to continue the agenda of national transformation in the future.

"So, what we have achieved according to me is very proud," he said.
