JAKARTA - The Makassar Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested the perpetrator and the employer of the female victim with the initials KH (22) after being detained and forced to serve lust in his house in the Barombong Makassar settlement area, South Sulawesi.

"It has been secured, tomorrow we will release it including the initials of the perpetrators," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Makassar Police AKBP Devi Sujana, Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The arrest was made after the victim reported the perpetrator's actions against him at the Makassar Police SPKT, accompanied by the Makassar City Government's Women and Children Protection (PPA) UPTD team together with the Women's Watch Foundation (YPMP).

According to the YPMP Secretary Alita Keren as a victim's companion, the perpetrator was reported for alleged sexual violence (TPKS) related to alleged kidnapping, coercion of sexual relations to recording a video allegedly by the perpetrator's wife without consent.

The victim is an employee of the perpetrator who has been working selling nasi kuning for three months on Jalan Hertasning Makassar owned by a married couple who are now the reported.

This case was only revealed after the family was worried that the victim had not returned home since leaving for work the day before. From the chronology of the incident, he had sent a short message on Friday, January 2, 2026 at around 03.00 WITA in the early morning and stated that he was fine, after which his phone was inactive.

Due to this incident, the family asked for assistance because they were worried about the fate of the victim who could not be contacted. As a result, at around 07.00 WITA, the YPMP team managed to contact the victim and said he was being held captive.

"The victim admitted that he was kidnapped and said he was forced to have sex with the perpetrator (husband), his boss was allegedly ordered by his female employer. The reason is that the victim is accused of having an affair with her husband," said this women's activist.

Although initially the family did not want to extend the issue because they were afraid of losing their jobs, Alita asked the victim to report the incident to the police and was ready to accompany.

This case was finally reported on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the early hours to the SPKT Polrestabes Makassar and was immediately handled by the local PPA Unit. From the initial assessment it was revealed that the victim had been forced to have sex with the perpetrator twice.

Ironically, the act was deliberately recorded on video by his wife. They are suspected of threatening and violence. The victim admitted that he was beaten and tied to his hair if he refused.

"There were two times. The first was that the recording was done secretly. The phone was hidden in a closet with the condition of recording. The second recording, even openly by the perpetrator's wife. It is clear that this is not mutual love but the victim is forced, threatened, let alone subjected to violence," he said.

Not only sexual violence, the victim also experienced labor exploitation because during the three months of selling from 19.00 WITA-12.00 WITA he only got a wage of Rp. 60 thousand per day. The victim denied having a special relationship with the perpetrator.

Regarding this incident, his party suspected that there were other victims, because employees often come and go to work at the business. Alita emphasized that the police applied the TPKS Law to the perpetrators.
