Honda Civic Sedan Hits Separator Busway and Transjakarta Bus at HI Roundabout

JAKARTA - A traffic accident involving a Honda Civic sedan and a Transjakarta Bus occurred on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in the north direction, precisely at the Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 1, 2026 morning.

The Head of the Traffic Police's Traffic Safety Sub-Directorate, AKBP Ojo Roslani, said the incident occurred at around 06.00 WIB. The accident involved a Honda Civic sedan and a Transjakarta Bus

"The driver of the Honda Civic sedan is known to be a woman with the initials RF (22). Meanwhile, the Transjakarta Bus is driven by Endra Bangun Wijaya," said Ojo in his statement, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Ojo said that from the results of the initial examination and witness testimony, the incident began when a Honda Civic car drove from south to north on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. Upon arrival at HI Roundabout, the car driver allegedly was not careful and not concentrated so that he hit the busway separator.

"After hitting the separator, the sedan vehicle was pushed forward and at the same time a Transjakarta Bus came from the same direction so that there was a collision," he explained.

Ojo ensured that there were no casualties or injuries in the incident. However, as a result of the accident, the Honda Civic car suffered quite severe damage to the right front body to the ring. Meanwhile, the Transjakarta Bus suffered damage to the left body in the form of scratches and dents.

In this incident, the police also noted that the driver of the Honda Civic car did not have a Driver's License (SIM).

"Not having a driver's license," Ojo said briefly.

Currently, the police are still conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.

"The cause of the accident is still under investigation," he concluded.
