Jalan 33 Road Points to be Closed during New Year's Eve Celebrations in Sudirman-Thamrin, Here's the List

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Office will close the road sections at 33 points in connection with the New Year's Eve celebration 2026 along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan MH Thamrin.

"Traffic engineering will be carried out to close 33 (thirty-three) situational points starting at 18.00 WIB until 01.00 WIB and alternative routes to divert traffic," said Head of DKI Traffic Police Syafrin Liputo in his statement, Tuesday, December 30.

The following are the 33 points that were closed:

1. Jalan Jenderal Sudirman (starting from Senayan Roundabout to HI Roundabout);

2. Jalan M.H. Thamrin (starting from Bundaran HI to Bundaran Patung Kuda);

3. Pintu 1 Senayan Road;

4. Kupingan Semanggi Slow Lane (Gatot Subroto) West side;

5. Bendungan Hilir Road;

6. Jalan KH. Mas Mansyur;

7. Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 5;

8. Kupingan BNI 46 Road;

9. Bumi City Road and Baturaja Road;

10. Teluk Betung Road;

11. Jalan Kebon Kacang;

12. Sunda Street;

13. Jalan Imam Bonjol;

14. Sumenep Tosari Road;

15. Landmark (Indocement);

16. Jalan Setiabudi;

17. Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio;

18. Jalan Masjid (Sampoerna);

19. Garnisun and Kolong Semanggi roads;

20. Slow lane of Semanggi (Gatot Subroto) on the East side;

21. SCBD;

22. Jalan Tulodong Atas 2/Samping CIMB;

23. Intersection of Budi Kemuliaan Street - South Medan Merdeka Street;

24. Jalan Kebon Sirih from the West direction;

25. Jalan K.H Wahid Hasyim;

26. Majapahit Street;

28. Veteran II Road;

29. Intersection of East Medan Merdeka Street - North Medan Merdeka Street;

30. Intersection of South Medan Merdeka Street - MI Ridwan Rais Street;

31. Simpang Jalan Perwira - Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat;

32. Simpang Jalan Trunojoyo-Jalan Panglima Polim;

33. Simpang Jalan Panglima Polim-Jalan Melawai.

Due to the closure of this road section, DKI Dishub has prepared alternative routes during the traffic diversion, including:

1. Traffic engineering Simpang Harmoni-Bundaran Patung Pemuda Membangun:

- Traffic from the south (Block M) to the north (Harmoni) can pass through Jalan Melawai-Jalan Iskandarsyah Raya-Jalan Pattimura-Jalan Hang Lekir I-Jalan Hang Tuah-Jalan Hang Lekir IV-Jalan Hang Lekir II-Jalan Hang Lekir I-Jalan Asia Afrika-Jalan Gerbang Pemuda-Jalan Gatot Subroto-Jalan KS Tubun-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Cideng-dst. Or can pass through Jalan Kyai Maja-Jalan Pakubuwono VI-Jalan Hang Lekir II-Jalan Hang Lekir I-Jalan Asia Afrika-Jalan Gerbang Pemuda-Jalan Gatot Subroto-Jalan KS Tubun-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Cideng-dst.

- Traffic from east (Pancoran) to west (Slipi) can pass through Jalan Gatot Suroto-Jalan S. Parman-dst;

- Traffic from west (Slipi) to east (Pancoran) can pass through Jalan S. Parman-Jalan Gatot Suroto-dst;

- Traffic from east (Kampung Melayu) to west (Tanah Abang) can pass through Jalan HR Rasuna Said-Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-dst;

- Traffic from west (Tanah Abang) to east (Kampung Melayu) can pass through Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio-HR Rasuna Said-dst;

- Traffic from east (Manggarai) to west (Karet) can pass through Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan R.M Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-Jalan Pasar Baru Karet Timur 3-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 2-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 1-dst;

- Traffic from west (Karet) to east (Manggarai) can pass through Jalan R.M Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan Sultan Agung-etc;

- Traffic from south (Tanah Abang) to north (Harmoni) can pass through Jalan Jati Baru Raya - Jalan Abdul Muis - Jalan Majapahit - etc.

- Traffic from north (Harmoni / Gn. Sahari) to south (Rasuna Said / Pancoran) can be through Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Pos-Jalan Gedung Kesenian-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat-Jalan Pejambon-Jalan M.I Ridwan Rais towards Rasuna Said-dst. Or can be through Jalan Gunung Sahari - Jalan Kramat Raya-Jalan Salemba-Jalan Proklamasi-Jalan Tambak-Jalan Prof. Dr. Sahardjo dst.

In addition, traffic engineering was also carried out around the National Monument area in the form of closing 10 road sections starting at 18.00 WIB until 01.00 WIB. Traffic diversion on the road section with the following details:

a) The intersection of Budi Kemuliaan Street and South Medan Merdeka Street;

b) Jalan Kebon Sirih from West direction / for east direction closed at Simpang Agus Salim;

c) Jalan K.H Wahid Hasyim;

d) Majapahit Road;

e) Jalan Veteran III;

f) Jalan Veteran II;

g) Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara;

h) South Medan Merdeka Square-MI Ridwan Rais Road;

i) Perwira-Lapangan Banteng Barat Road Junction;

j) Abdul Rahman Saleh-Jalan Kramat Kwitang Junction;

Meanwhile, the alternative routes during the traffic diversion in the Monas area are:

- From the east (Senen Market) which will lead to the west (Harmoni) can be through Senen Raya Street-Kwini I Street-Abdul Rahman Saleh Street-Kramat Kwitang Street-West Turnaround-West-Kramat Kwitang Street-Arief Rahman Hakim Street-Tugu Tani-MI Ridwan Rais Street-East Medan Merdeka Street-Perwira Street-Katedral Street-Veteran Street etc. or can be through Gunung Sahari Street-Budi Utomo Street-North Banteng Square Street-Katedral Street-Veteran Street etc;

- From the south (Cikini) direction which will go to the north (Veteran Street) can be through Jalan Menteng Raya-Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim-Tugu Tani-Jalan MI Ridwan Rais-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Katedral, etc;

- From the north (Gunung Sahari Road) which will go south (Tugu Tani) can be through Jalan Dr. Sutomo-Jalan Gedung Kesenian-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat-Jalan Taman Pejambon-Jalan Pejambon-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, etc .;

- From the direction of Jalan Batu III towards the north (Harmoni) can be through Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur- Jalan MI Ridwan Rais-turn at Tugu Tani-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Katedral-Jalan Veteran, etc;

- From the west (Tomang) direction, which will go to the east (Senen Market), you can go through Tomang Raya Street-Kyai Caringin Street-Balikpapan-Suryopranoto Street-Ir. Juanda Street-Pos Street-Dr. Sutomo Street-Gunung Sahari Street, etc.

"It is urged that road users avoid the road section and can adjust the traffic arrangements set, comply with traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize safety on the road," concluded Syafrin.
