JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government will hold a New Year's Eve celebration in 2026 with 8 entertainment stages along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan MH Thamrin and the Banteng Square area.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo, explained that the series of activities to celebrate the New Year's Eve began on December 31, 2025 at 18.00 WIB until January 1, 2025 at 01.00 WIB.

"The location of the stage is at MH Thamrin, Sarinah, HI roundabout, Dukuh Atas BNI 46, Semanggi, BEI/SCBD, FX Sudirman, and Lapangan Banteng," said Syafrin in his statement, Tuesday, December 30.

"There are 48 Transjakarta bus routes that intersect with the location of the activities, changes in operating patterns and track modifications will be carried out during the arrangement and diversion of traffic flow in the context of the 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations," said Syafrin.

He explained, public transportation modes managed by the DKI Provincial Government such as the Jakarta MRT and Jakarta LRT will operate with an extension of time during the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration.

"The operating pattern of the Jakarta MRT on the New Year's Eve celebration of 2026 on December 31, 2025, starts at 05.00 WIB until January 1, 2026 at 02.00 WIB with a flat headway of 10 minutes, except from 00.00-01.00 headway of 5 minutes," explained Syafrin.

"The operating pattern of the Jakarta LRT on the New Year's Eve celebration of 2026 on December 31, 2025, starts at 05.30 WIB until January 1, 2026 at 02.00 WIB with a flat headway of 10 minutes," he said.
