"The worst happened in Tebing Tinggi District, specifically in Juuh Village, Sungsum, and Gunung Batu," he said on the sidelines of reviewing the flood location.
Yulianor said that the affected residents' houses in the village were moderately to severely damaged, although the number of affected houses had not been collected, but it was estimated to reach hundreds more.
Meanwhile, the Balangan Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), South Kalimantan (Kalsel), reported that 10,949 people were affected and 3,511 houses were submerged due to flooding in 27 villages spread across seven sub-districts in Balangan.
"The Balangan Regency Government (Pemkab) has set the emergency response status for flood disaster management until January 3, 2026," said Balangan Regent Abdul Hadi when reviewing the post-flood affected location in Tebing Tinggi District, Balangan, Sunday (28/12).
