Ancol predicts 100,000 people will visit its tourist attractions on New Year's Eve

JAKARTA - Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will hold a New Year's Eve celebration in 2026 with music stage entertainment and drone performances. Management predicts that tourists visiting Ancol during the New Year's Eve will reach one hundred thousand people.

"On December 31, 2025, as New Year's Eve, we predict that it will reach 100 thousand people who will enjoy the New Year's Eve," said PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Daniel Windriatmoko's Corporate Communication in a statement, Monday, December 29.

"The peak of tourist visits is expected to be on December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026 during the Christmas and New Year's holiday period," said Daniel, adding that Ancol targets a visit of 700 thousand during the period.

"It is estimated that there will be a 6 percent increase in the number of visits compared to the previous year in the same period. The favorite destinations are still the beach area, then the Dufan and Sea World units," said Daniel.

"To ensure the comfort and safety of visitors, Ancol has prepared integrated traffic and parking arrangements, support facilities, and coordination with security and emergency services during the holiday period.

"For those who will make recreational visits to Ancol, make sure you have a ticket before visiting so you don't have to queue. Tickets can be accessed at www.ancol.com," he said.

"Furthermore, Ancol decided to cancel the fireworks show on New Year's Eve as a form of empathy and sorrow for the disaster that occurred in the Sumatran region.

"We are deeply saddened by the disaster in Sumatra and share the concern and sorrow for the disaster that has occurred. We pray for the safety and strength of all victims and affected families," said Daniel.

"The decision was taken as a form of humanitarian concern. In fact, the fireworks show was planned to be one of the largest in the Jakarta New Year's celebration.

"According to him, this policy was decided with various considerations so that the moment of welcoming the New Year can be lived more meaningfully, in line with the spirit of solidarity and togetherness as one nation.
