Billboard on the Side of Sarinah Mall Burns, Fire Extinguished Before Damkar Arrived

JAKARTA - A billboard or billboard is reported to have caught fire on Jalan MH Thamrin, Gondangdia Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Sunday night, December 28.

Information about the fire was received by the Command Center of the Jakarta Central Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) at around 21.30 WIB from a report from the public who contacted the emergency service of DisGulkarmat.

"The burning object is a billboard with a low building type (BR) which is next to the Sarinah Mall," wrote the DKI Jakarta Command Center report, Sunday, December 28.

Following up on the report, firefighters immediately deployed to the scene. However, before the fire unit arrived, the fire was reported to have been successfully controlled and extinguished by Mal Sarinah's internal officers.

"No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident," said the Command Center.

The cause of the billboard fire is still not explained further in the initial report.

The DKI Jakarta Gulkarmat Command Center appeals to the public to immediately report potential fires or other emergencies through the 112 service or the official DisGulkarmat number so that they can be handled quickly and properly.
