JAKARTA - The National Agency for Maritime Security (Bakamla) has deployed the KN. Dana-323 Island ship to transport 92.2 tons of logistics for victims of floods and landslides in Aceh.

The provision of assistance is part of Bakamla's efforts to support the post-disaster recovery process in Aceh.

The ship, led by Bakamla Lieutenant Colonel Umar Dhani, docked at Lhokseumawe Port, today.

His arrival was greeted by the community and local government who were waiting at the port.

"The assistance we distribute today is the result of donations from personnel of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and collaboration with the people of Batam, related agencies, and residents of the Riau Islands who are moving in unison to help our brothers in Sumatra," said Umar Dhani as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 23.

After being delivered to the port, the logistical assistance will later be distributed to residents who are still living in several disaster points.

With the assistance in the form of clothing, medicines and food, the Bakamla team hopes that the burden of life of disaster victims who are still in the location can be relieved.

Previously, Bakamla RI had sent the first phase of assistance through KN. Nipah Island-321 with a total load of 70 tons.

KN. Dana-323 Island departed from Macgobar Marina, Batam, on Thursday (18/12/2025) to Lhokseumawe as part of a series of logistics aid deliveries for disaster victims in Aceh and Sumatra.
