Schools Start to Be Cleaned from Mud in Aceh Tamiang

ACEH - Dozens of members of the Aceh Police's Brimob were seen cleaning a number of schools affected by flash floods in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, Monday, December 22.

One of the cleaned was the Yayasan Maarif Tamiang Islamic Private SMP, Kuala Simpang. The personnel cleaned the mud that covered the floor of the classroom, the teacher's room, to the school yard.

The cleaning was carried out using various equipment, such as hoes, shovels, and water and mud pushing tools. The commander of the I Brimob Team, Briptu Kamal, targeted that the school could be immediately clean so that the learning process could be carried out as soon as possible.

Kamal added that the equipment used so far is still sufficient. However, his party will coordinate further if the cleaning process requires heavy equipment or water tankers, after the mud has been removed first.
