JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued 20 strategic studies during 2025. Among them are related to the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program to natural resource governance to prevent budget leakage.

"Through strategic studies, the KPK identified vulnerabilities in a number of major programs such as Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), KIP-Kuliah, to the governance of Natural Resources and the environment which resulted in fiscal improvements of up to Rp753 billion," said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Ibnu Basuki Widodo in a press conference at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, December 22.

Ibnu said this fiscal improvement brought positive things. But, supervision must also continue in the future.

"The fiscal impact of the MBG program, KIP-Kuliah, to the governance of Natural Resources and the environment is so great that if it is not monitored from the beginning, it has the potential to leak," he said.

Completing Ibnu, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said that studies related to government programs were routinely carried out by the KPK's Prevention and Monitoring Department. "Well, I give an example for the MBG. From the results of the study, there are several findings, including the mechanism for obtaining government assistance or BAPR," he said.

"It is seen that the process is still quite long. There is, yes, a kind of chain of implementation that involves many parties. This is where improvements are needed," continued Setyo, who once served as the Director of Investigation of the KPK.

Regarding all inputs regarding government programs, Setyo said, they could be monitored through the jaga.id website. The public can see the recommendations given by the anti-corruption commission from there.

"It is also coordinated with the ministry of institutions that deal with what is the subject of study."
