Disparbud Ensure Wonosobo and Dieng are Safe for Tourists to Visit

WONOSOBO - Head of the Wonosobo Regency Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud) Fahmi Hidayat emphasized that Wonosobo, including the Dieng tourist area, is currently in a safe condition for tourists to visit.

Recently, rainfall in the Wonosobo area has been quite high. This condition causes several rivers to overflow into the road body, including on the route to the Dieng area, especially the Jawar area.

However, he said that the situation did not hinder community activities or tourist trips to the Dieng area and its surroundings.

"In general, the conditions of Wonosobo and Dieng are safe to visit. Community activities continue to run normally and access to tourist destinations can still be passed through well," he said in Wonosobo, Antara, Tuesday, December 16.

Facing quite extreme weather conditions, he appealed to all parties, both tourism actors and tourists to increase vigilance and preparedness.

Tourists are expected to prepare their trip carefully, ensuring that the condition of the vehicle is in good condition, maintaining body health, and avoiding extreme routes and areas that are potentially prone to disasters.

According to him, information circulating on social media does not always reflect the actual conditions on the ground and is often unbalanced.

"Tourists should seek information from official and reliable sources, so that they are not affected by social media content that is not necessarily accurate or no longer in accordance with the latest conditions," he said.

In order to ensure the safety and comfort of tourists, the Wonosobo Regency Disparbud also always coordinates and collaborates with various related parties, including BPBD, DPUPR, Diskominfo, Disperkimhub, Police, and other authorities. This coordination is carried out especially in disaster mitigation efforts and readiness to face Christmas and New Year holidays.
