MBG Car Collision Of Elementary School Students For The New 01, BGN Tightens SOPs In The Field

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for Public Communication and Investigation Nanik Sudaryati Deyang emphasized that his party would evaluate the safety aspects of drivers and vehicles, to the discipline of the SOP on the distribution of MBG to schools.

This was the aftermath of the incident when the MBG transport car broke through the fence and hit a student at SDN Kalibaru 01, Cilincing, North Jakarta this morning.

"We ensure that the entire legal process runs according to the provisions. BGN will tighten surveillance standards, including driver verification, fleet providers, and discipline in implementing SOPs in the field," said Nanik in his statement, Thursday, December 11.

Nanik said that currently handling victims is a priority for his institution. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the supervision and operational feasibility of MBG.

"We were devastated by this incident. Our priority is to ensure that all victims get the best treatment, and provide full support to the affected families," said Nanik.

Meanwhile, the Head of the North Jakarta SPPG, Sahrul Gunawan Siregar, explained that the driver who hit students and teachers at SDN 01 Kalibaru was not a permanent driver, but a substitute driver. The driver's car unit is under the management of the Darul Esti Foundation.

"The driver of the vehicle is not actually the driver but the replacement driver, the SPPG is under the Darul Esti Foundation," said Esti.

Deputy Head of BGN for Operations for Fulfillment of Nutrition, Sony Sonjaya admitted that his party had coordinated with schools, police, and health service facilities.

Sony also emphasized that the maintenance costs of all victims will be borne by BGN. "The cost of treating all victims is borne by us (BGN), and they are placed in Class 1 (RSUD) all of them," he said.

It is known that a MBG transport car with police number B 2093 UIU crashed into a number of students who were in a ceremony at the Kalibaru 01 SDN sports field, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at 06.39 WIB when hundreds of students had sat in the field to participate in weekly literacy activities. This incident left 21 people injured, consisting of 20 students and one teacher. The victim was immediately taken to the nearest health facility.

A total of 21 victims have received treatment. Most of them are being treated at the Cilincing Hospital and the puskesmas. Meanwhile, the other five people, consisting of four students and one teacher, were treated at the Koja Hospital.
