Not Only The Regent Of Central Lampung, The KPK Participated In Securing 4 Other People

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that not only was Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya arrested in a hand arrest operation (OTT) today. There were four other people who were also brought from Lampung to Jakarta.

"The team secured 5 people in the Lampung area and then brought them to Jakarta," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, December 10 evening.

Budi explained that this silent operation began with a request for information by related parties in Jakarta and Lampung on Tuesday, December 9.

"The team then carried out activities that were caught red-handed by alleged corruption in the Central Lampung Regency area," he said.

Even so, Budi has not detailed the four other people who were brought to Jakarta. He only said all the information would be submitted on Thursday, December 11.

"Currently the team is still conducting intensive examinations of the arrested parties, one of which is the Regent of Central Lampung," he said.

Ardito arrived at the KPK office at around 20.10 WIB. He wore a dark patterned jacket and his head was wearing a hat.

Ardito was seen being escorted by a number of KPK security officers. He also brought a dark blue suitcase.

"Alhamdulillah, he is healthy," Ardito told reporters at the location.

As previously reported, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Fitroh Rohcahyanto, confirmed that his party had arrested Ardito in the OTT event since the beginning of the week. It is suspected that money had been given.
