CENTRAL TNI (CENTRAL TNI) deployed US 565 MBe Panther helicopters (HS-1305 Lambung Number) from KRI Semarang (SMR)-594 to send medical personnel to the flash flood disaster site in Lapan Lambu, Central Tapanuli, North Sumatra.

The delivery of medical personnel by air was carried out because land access was still cut off due to severe damage to a number of points affected by flash floods.

Head of the Indonesian Navy Information Service (Kadispenal), First Admiral TNI Tunggul, said the health workers were assigned to provide health services for the victims, as well as distribute free medicines.

"This operation is concentrated in the Central Tapanuli area. In addition, this mission is also to distribute logistical support for the region," said Tunggul in an official statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, December 10.

He added that the distribution of logistics and delivery of medical personnel will continue to be carried out to meet the needs of affected residents.

The Indonesian Navy also ensured that US 565 MBe Panther and KRI Semarang-594 helicopters remained on standby as a fleet supporting humanitarian operations.
