Indonesian Navy Builds Emergency Bridge And Distribution Logistics In West Sumatra

The ranks of the Indonesian Navy through the Regional Military Command (Kodaeral) II Padang built an emergency bridge while distributing logistical assistance to victims of the flash flood disaster in Nagari V Jorong, West Sumatra (West Sumatra).

These efforts were made to open land access routes so that logistics could reach the location.

"The Kodaeral II Natural Disaster Management Task Force team was dispatched to the disaster site with a focus on restoring vital access to people who were cut off due to natural disasters," said Head of the Naval Information Service (Kadispenal) First Admiral TNI Tunggul when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 10.

Tunggul said the task force personnel who deployed were soldiers from the soldiers of the Field Base Defense Marine Battalion (Yonmarhanlan) II.

In the press release, the Commander of the Task Force Team, First Lieutenant Mar Khaelani Alfian, the process of building the bridge temporarily went safely.

The wooden bridge was also functioning and was immediately used by officers to bring logistical assistance to the disaster site.

"With this bridge, personnel can open lanes and carry out the distribution of aid logistics for the community to the Walinagari Tiku V Jorong office," said Khaelani.

He ensured that with the opening of access, personnel would be more intense in sending logistical assistance to the Nagari V area.

With these efforts, Khaelani hopes that the post-disaster recovery process in the Padang area can run optimally.
