Salary Money For Village Employees Corruption, Village Officials In Central Bengkulu Charged With State Loss Of IDR 892 Million

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Central Bengkulu District Attorney (Kejari) charged three former Rindu Hati Village officials in Central Bengkulu Regency to commit a total corruption crime of Rp892 million.

The three defendants are the Head of Rindu Hati Village for the period 2016 to 2021 as well as a member of the Central Bengkulu DPRD for the period 2024-2029 ST. Mukhlis, the Head of Finance for the Rindu hat Village Session of the Rindu Hati Village Secretary, Herwanda.

The three of them were involved in the corruption case of village funds and the allocation of Rindu Hati Village funds for the 2016-2021 fiscal year.

"Today we are holding an indictment trial with three defendants, the three of them are charged with multiple articles, because they have harmed the state by Rp. 892 million from the Rindu Hati Village fund budget, Taba Penanjung District," said Head of Special Crime Section (Kasi) Special Pidsus Kejari Bengkulu Tengah Rianto Ade Putra at the Bengkulu Corruption Court, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 9.

The mode used by the defendants was to mark-up the report on the reports of the salaries of village employees. The defendant made a report by paying all the salaries, but in reality it was not paid in full.

In addition, the defendants were charged with carrying out the reported construction work which was completed but some were not completed and some even did not match the size.
