Sign 14 Cooperation, Spain-Maroko Refuses To Discuss Land Routes Into Access To African Dark Immigrants

JAKARTA - Spain and Morocco are reluctant to discuss the matters of tightening immigrants at the meeting of the two high-ranking country officials which ended the signing of 14 cooperation agreements in Madrid.

Quoting AFP, Friday, December 5, Morocco is the main partner of the European Union in handling illegal migration.

That's because Morocco is the only land access African to European countries, precisely in the exclaves of Spain, Ceuta and Melilla.

Morocco is also known to be trying to manage its airspace, including in the Western Sahara, which is controlled by Spain from the Atlantic Islands in the Canary Islands.

The Spanish-Maroko cooperation agreement was held after Morocco's Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch visited Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid, Spain yesterday.

Morocco's Trade Minister, Ryad Mezzour, told El Mundo newspaper that his country is "making every effort" to fight illegal immigration.
