JAKARTA - The government has begun to prepare post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction steps in Aceh and Sumatra. The recovery program is targeted to run within 100 days as an initial stage, before continuing with a long-term plan for one year.

"Rehabilitation and reconstruction phases have begun to be prepared. The target is that within 100 days and a 1 year timeline is prepared so that the public can monitor the achievement in a measured manner," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK), Pratikno, at a press conference at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 3.

During the emergency response period, the government has deployed all relevant agencies to ensure that the basic needs of the community can be met. Acceleration efforts are carried out through coordination between ministries/agencies, TNI, Polri, and BNPB.

"The instructions from the President are very clear. We must mobilize all resources from the central government, all ministries and institutions, the TNI, Polri, BNPB so that every hour, every minute there is improvement, acceleration and increased response to community needs," said Pratikno.

He also expressed his appreciation to all volunteers and Indonesian citizens who showed their solidarity to help the affected communities.
