1 Died And 5 Injured In Accident Involve 9 Cars On Cipularang KM 111 Toll Road

JAKARTA - At least one person was killed and five others injured in a series of accidents involving nine vehicles on the Cipularang KM 111 Toll Road towards Jakarta, Tuesday, December 2 at around 13.40 WIB.

Head of the Cipularang Highway Patrol Main (PJR), Kompol Joko Prihantono, said the incident involved a number of vehicles ranging from private cars to heavy transportation.

Joko explained that the vehicles involved included Toyota Ayla, Toyota Avanza, Honda HR-V, two Toyota Innova, HiAce City Transport, Honda Jazz, and two Fuso trucks and trucks.

He said the dead victim was identified as Hery Cristianto, a Honda Jazz driver from Kalideres, West Jakarta. Meanwhile, five other injured victims immediately received medical treatment.

Joko said his party together with field officers immediately carried out handling to break down the density and evacuate victims and vehicles that were heavily damaged.

"Officers immediately went to the location, collected data on vehicles and drivers, and ensured that the return route was safe for road users to pass," he said.

As a result of the accident, the traffic flow had stalled. The handling of the case is now being handled by the Cimahi Police Traffic Unit of Law Enforcement Unit and proceeds to the handling of the Cikamining laka for further investigation.

"Furthermore, it was handled by the Cimahi Police Traffic Unit. We coordinated with the West Java Police PJR ranks to help issue vehicles to the nearest gate in Cikamuning so that there would be no long queues," he said.
