TANJUNG SELOR Bhayangkari for the Region of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) together with the ranks of the Resort Police/Ta participated in the Eco Enzyme Workshop which was held simultaneously by Bhayangkari throughout Indonesia.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Budi Rahmat, said that this national activity was part of an effort to break the Record of the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI).
"In Kaltara, as many as 326 participants participated in the workshop centered at the Kaltara Police Headquarters Apple Field. Participants received directions for making eco enzyme through a Zoom connection which was directly guided by the Central Bhayangkari," said Kombes Budi, Friday, November 28.
"This activity is not only oriented towards achieving records, but also encourages environmental awareness among the big family of the Police," he continued.
Budi said the eco enzyme workshop is a momentum for education to utilize organic waste into a useful product.
"Bhayangkari Kaltara is enthusiastic about participating in this activity as a form of concern for the environment," he said.
He explained that Eco enzyme is a liquid that is fermented by organic waste such as fruit and vegetable skins, which are mixed with sugar and clean water.
"This multifunctional liquid can be used as natural cleaning, fertilizers, insect expulsion, to basic ingredients for making soap and other environmentally friendly products," he explained.
Kombes Budi Rahmat explained that the fermentation process took about three months before the liquid was ready for use.
"In addition to producing useful fluids, fermentation grounds are also not thrown away. These grounds can be buried to fertilize the soil or reused as seeds," he said.
He added that the workshop went smoothly and was colored by the spirit of mutual cooperation of the participants. The activity was closed with a photo session together as official documentation of Bhayangkari Kaltara's participation in breaking the MURI Record simultaneously.
Bhayangkari Kaltara's participation shows a real commitment to environmental movements. We are proud to be part of this national activity," he said.
