Prabowo: 288 Thousand Schools Receive Digital Interactive In Early January

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto targets as many as 288 thousand schools throughout Indonesia to have obtained digital interactive screen devices in early January 2026.

Prabowo said that currently digital interactive screen equipment assistance has been sent to approximately 215 thousand schools throughout Indonesia. According to him, this step is Indonesia's great effort to pursue progress in the field of education so as not to lose to developed countries.

"Until last night, it has reached more than 200 thousand (schools), maybe it is close to 215 thousand. Maybe, I don't know. But God willing, at the end of December or early January there will be 288 thousand schools throughout Indonesia," Prabowo said in his speech. Peak National Teacher's Day Celebration at Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, Friday, November 28 reported by ANTARA.

The government faces a number of challenges in distributing digital interactive screen assistance in all regions, one of which is extreme weather which results in delays in delivery.

In addition, the government also experienced problems in reaching remote areas. However, Prabowo is determined that not a single school in Indonesia will not receive digital interactive screen assistance.

"Once again I ask for understanding, but I am proud that we are trying to get to remote areas," he said.

Prabowo emphasized that next year every school can get three digital interactive screens.

Not only that, various educational content from all subjects from all levels can be accessed through the screen.

The government is also preparing a centralized studio to broadcast lessons from the best teachers in Indonesia, even from abroad.

Through this system, students in any school, including those in remote areas, can learn directly from native speakers of various languages, such as English, Mandarin, Japanese, French, German, to Korean.

"So all schools in any corner can learn English from native teachers from English, Mandarin native teachers, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese. We teach it in all our schools, so that later our children will graduate, they can work anywhere on Earth," added Prabowo.
