Cafe Employees In Denpasar Report Alleged Rape, Police Conduct Investigation

The Denpasar City Police Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the alleged criminal act of forced violence against a female employee who works in a cafe on Jalan Gunung Soputan, Denpasar.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the Denpasar Police, Kompol I Ketut Sukadi, confirmed the report and said that his party was investigating this case.

"It's true, the victim has reported to the Denpasar Police and currently the case is still under investigation. Investigators have examined witnesses, conducted crime scene investigations, and complemented the investigation administration including the results of the post-mortem," said Sukadi, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 28.

He explained that the incident allegedly occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2025, at around 01.00 WITA, with the location of the incident in the cafe's mess (residence facility).

The victim with the initials KS (28) officially reported the incident to the Denpasar Police Integrated Service Center (SPKT) on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The case has recently gone viral on social media.

After receiving the victim's report, the Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) immediately carried out a series of investigation steps, including examining the victim, examining witnesses related to the case, and checking the crime scene (TKP).

In addition, the victim has also undergone a medical examination in the form of Visum et Repertum (VER) at Bhayangkara Hospital.

Based on information gathered from various sources, the perpetrator is suspected to be a security guard with the initials DJ.

DJ allegedly entered the victim's room in a drunken state and raped the victim.

However, until now the police have not succeeded in arresting the perpetrators.

"Further developments related to this case will be conveyed later after investigators conduct an examination," said Sukadi.
