Capai Water 1.5 Meters, 3,866 Residents Of West Aceh Affected By Floods

WEST AceH - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Aceh Regency recorded 3,866 people or 2,652 families (KK) affected by floods that hit eight sub-districts in the area. The water level is reported to have reached 1 to 1.5 meters.

"There have been no reports of residents being victims of the current flood natural disaster," said Acting Head of West Aceh BPBD, Teuku Ronal Nehdiansyah, quoted from Antara, Friday, November 27.

Floods hit a number of areas, including Johan Pahlawan District in Pasi Leuhan Village. In Meureubo District, floods submerged the villages of Pasi Masjid, Pasi Aceh Tunong, and Pasi Aceh Baroh.

Eight villages in Sungai Mas District were also submerged, namely Kajeung, Geduong, Lancong, Tungkop, Leubok Beutong, Gleng, Gunong Buloh, and Gaseu villages.

In Arongan Lambalek District, floods hit the villages of Teupin Peuraho, Peuribu, Ujong Beusa, Drien Rampak, Keub, Cot Kumbang, Kubu, Seuneubok Lhong, Suak Ie Beuso, and Arongan.

East Woyla District was also affected by flooded villages such as Seuradeuk, Pasi Ara, Rambong, Gampong Baro, Tangkeh, Leubok Panyang, and Pasi Janeng. Meanwhile, in Pante Ceureumen District, floods occurred in Canggai, Keutambang, Seimantok, and Lango villages.

In Woyla Barat District, floods submerged a number of villages, including Napai, Blang Cot Rubek, Blang Cot Mameh, Pasi Malee, Lhok Malee, Cot Rambong, Blang Luah, Alue Leuhob, Leubok Pasi Ara, Ulee Pasi Ara, Cot Lagan, Kulam Kaju, Peuleukung, Pasi Panyang, and Alue Perman.

Kaway XVI sub-district also recorded 10 villages affected by flooding, including Alue Tampak, Padang Mancang, Puuk, Alue On, Putim, Gampong Masjid, Keudee Aron, Alue Tampak, Meunasah Buloh, and Pasi Jambu.

Teuku Ronal said the West Aceh BPBD continues to collect data on affected residents and evacuation efforts in areas that are still inundated.
