JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) Amin Said Husni emphasized that the letter circulating using the letterhead of PBNU Number 4785 / PB.02 / A.II.10.01 / 99 / 11/2025 is not an official organizational document.

"The PBNU official letter must be signed by four elements, namely Rais Aam, Katib Aam, General Chair, and Secretary General. The documents circulating do not meet these provisions," Amin Said said in Jakarta, as reported by Antara Wednesday, November 26.

Amin Said said that the certainty regarding the status of the letter was after PBNU carried out administrative and digital verification of the document in question.

According to Amin Said, PBNU has submitted an official explanation through letter numbered 4786/PB.03/AI01.08/99/11/2025 dated November 26, 2025 M/05 Jumadal Akhirah 1447 H.

In the explanation, it was emphasized that the circulating documents did not meet the administrative provisions as stipulated in the Association Regulation Number 16 of 2025 concerning Administrative Guidelines, especially regarding the validity of the PBNU official letter.

He explained that the PBNU correspondence system has now been equipped with a layered security mechanism, including a Peruri digital stamp with a QR Code at the bottom left of the letter, as well as an official footer stating that the document was signed electronically by the Digdaya of the Letter and digitally stamped by Peruri Tera.

In addition, the letter in circulation contains a watermark DRAFT, which indicates that the document is not a final letter and therefore does not have administrative power.

The QR Code scan in the letter also shows the status of TTD is not yet valid', so it cannot be recognized as an official PBNU document.

Furthermore, he said, when the letter number was verified through the official verification page.nu.id/letter, the system provided an unregistered document number, thus confirming that the letter was invalid and was not found in the official PBNU database.

Amin Said appealed to all levels of Nahdlatul Ulama management and residents at all levels to remain calm and always check the authenticity of documents on behalf of PBNU through official channels.

PBNU asks all parties to verify the authenticity of the letter through the verification site.nu.id or use the Scanner Peruri Code. The validity of the PBNU document is determined by official administrative procedures, not by the circulation of information," he said.

Amin Said emphasized that administrative discipline is very important to maintain organizational order and prevent information confusion. Only documents that meet all official provisions can be declared valid as PBNU decisions.

Previously, a Circular Letter Number 4785 / PB.02 / A.II.10.01 / 99 / 11/2025 was issued which contained a follow-up to the results of the Syuriyah Daily Meeting minutes.

The Circular was signed by Deputy Rais Aam PBNU Afifuddin Muhajir and Khatib PBNU Ahmad Tajul Mafakir. In the letter, it was stated that Gus Yahya was no longer the General Chair, starting from November 26, 2025.

On the basis of this decision, Yahya Cholil Staquf no longer has the authority and right to use the attributes, facilities and/or things attached to the position of Chairman of PBNU.
