JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) confiscated vehicles during a search related to the alleged corruption case, reducing the obligation to pay tax on companies/tax obligations in 2016-2020.
"In addition to the documents, four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles were confiscated," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the AGO, Anang Supriatna, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 25.
The confiscated vehicles consisted of one Toyota Alphard branded car and two big motorbikes (moge).
Anang said the three vehicles were confiscated during a search on Sunday (23/11).
"From several places around Jabodetabek where the search was more than five points," he said.
However, he did not reveal which locations were searched and did not reveal where the vehicle was confiscated.
Currently, the confiscated vehicles are temporarily secured in a special place.
"While being secured by a team of investigators at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) in the right place," he said.
"Is there any other confiscation? I'm sure there should be later. We'll wait. Let the investigative team move first to get strong evidence. Later we will release it in the future like what," he said.
It is known that the AGO is currently investigating cases of alleged corruption in reducing the obligation to pay payments for payments of companies/taxpayers in 2016-2020 by tax personnel at the Directorate of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).
In the process, the AGO has searched a number of locations and prevented several parties from leaving the country.
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections confirmed that five people were prevented from traveling abroad based on the AGO's request.
The five people had the initials KD, BNDP, HBP, KL, and VRH.
This prevention is valid from November 14, 2025 to May 14, 2026.
